Aultbea - May 2006

There were seven of us on this trip: Josefina, Chris, Jan, Eileen, Jimmy, May and myself. We rented a cottage in Mellon Charles, a small village of Wester Ross close to the village of Aultbea in the North West coast of Scotland.

Shore Croft was superb. According to Chris its only fault was that one had to get up from the comfort of its outdoor chairs in order to get ice for our drinks from the ice maker.

Although loath to leave it we did use it as a base to explore nearby Ullapool, An Teallach, the River Gruinard and Inverewe Gardens.
